5th - 8th Amendments.

Witness- to see, hear, or know by personal presence and perception: to witness an accident.

Indict- to bring a formal accusation against, as a means of bringing to trial

Testify- give or afford evidence.

Grand Jury- a jury, at common law, of 12 to 23 persons, designated to inquire into alleged violations of the law in order to ascertain whether the evidence is sufficient to warrant trial.

Due Process- the regular administration of the law, according to which no citizen may be denied his or her legal rights and all laws must conform to fundamental

Capital Punishment- punishment by death for a crime

Excessive- going beyond the usual

Bail- property or money given as surety that a person released from custody will return at an appointed time.

Peer- a person of the same legal status

Do you believe that people accused of crimes deserve all of these rights or just some of them? Why or why not?

I believe that most of these are reasonable. But I dont agree with, you can only be tried once for a crime because what if one of your family members is murdered and you saw the killer do it and the jury thought differently. Then eventually you the police get more evidence on it but the killer can't be tried again even if thy can prove that he/she actually comitted the crime. Also I don't agree with the death penalty because it's not right if they did something wrong then you go and kill them? That makes no sense at all. I think they should just get life in prision or something more reaonable.

2nd - 4th amendments

2nd Amendment
Guns should be able to be in the house for protection. Guns shouldn't be in the house because what could happen if their children started playing with it because they didn't know what it was then hurt them self or somebody else in the family? My opinion on the right to bear arms is that it is okay to have a gun in the house but only if it is for protection and not for other reasons.

3rd Amendment
I think that it is fair to open their homes for the soldiers because they're fighting for us and if they need things we should help them.

4th Amendment
Police might have a reason to search your house if they think you have hurt somebody or even murdered somebody.
